Craig's Pain---managing
We just got back for the Pain Management Doctor, Dr. Dunteman. His pain "cocktail" is helping with Craig's pain, however it is making him tired and ZONE OUT at times. So Dr. Dunteman is going to mix a new potion. Not really new, just reduce or add some things to help Craig work through this. Craig also started on his appetite pills. He just started them yesterday....so little change was noticed. The doctor said he could go to 3x's a day if he tolerated them well. So he will be going to 3x's a day
He is NOT going to do the nerve block. He is afraid that the nerve that he would have to go after is too close to the one that controls Craig's right leg. So with the wedding coming up, he would rather not go after the nerve right now. We seconded that since we thought Craig may look funny dragging his right leg down the isle.
We are trying to stay positive and hope that Craig will gain strength and weight. He is trying sooo hard to be able to enjoy Emily & Kyle's wedding day. He will have to gain much strength between now and then to make through that long day. But all of you that know Craig, he will prop himself up in a corner if he has too. :0 He does not want to miss a minute of that day or the time with those who are coming to celebrate with us.
We go to the doctors again next Monday at 1:00. So until then keep praying for strength and weight gain. His will is there, it is just difficult right now with all the medications and lack of appetite to gain the strength he needs.
BELEIVING...Shelly
JULIE...Continues to improve and has been moved out of Intensive Care as of yesterday and is in the Step Down Unit. Dan says she is getting cranky, so that is a GREAT sign!!
Devon had his ear surgery today and all went well. He will have his 5 hour eye surgery on Friday. Say a special prayer for this little guy and my nephew Don and niece-in -law Eva too.
