Craig, more visitors and other tidbits

Craig has set a goal to reach 190  before chemo.  He started at 180 and has gained 2 pounds so far, not bad.  He has 16 days to gain 8 pounds. He is drinking two Ensure a day, plus 1800 calories through TPN and then small meals.  He is trying!   I on the other had would do it by eating ice cream by the carton, chocolate by the pound and may take a multi vitamin for good measure.

He is back to work and working as long as he can, about 6 hours a day, which I think is pretty darn good.  Plus he comes home and does do email and other things, so he does put in an 8 hour day.  He is still uncomfortable (which would be pain to most of us) a lot of the time, especially after eating.

Craig's dad, brother Ted and his nephew Brad came in for a surprise visit.  Ted has been very helpful around the house.  He has done yard work, help decorate for Christmas, as did Brad.  He did a lot of lugging of boxes up and down the stairs.  I asked him if he would come back on Dec. 26 to lug everything back down for me...he never really answered.

Today is Emily's 22 birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM!!  I wish we could spend it together, it's kind of weird not being with her on her birthday.  She says she feels old!  Oh to be 22 again   She will be home on Tuesday, so we are looking forward to see her then.

I just got an email from Amie who is putting on the Quartermania in Sept.  I know with the holidays this is probably the last thing you want to think about, but has anyone come up with a venue that we could possibly use in Missouri?  If anyone has ties to a place that could give us a good discount or donate a place for a night please let me know as soon as possible as we would like to get some Corporate sponsors this year and they get hit up in January.

We have already raise about $4,000 towards Craig's grant for this year!!!

BELIEVING...Shelly
