Time for Some RedNeck Stuff

Okay, since Craig is in healing mode, it's obviously time for some fun and that means my latest redneck photo!

I actually took this one myself in Arkansas at the Dogpatch Biker Bash.  Doug and I stayed in Branson and rode the Harley all through northern Arkansas two Saturdays ago.  The "Biker Bash" was not the reason for our trip, but honestly how can you resist a sign that says Dogpatch Biker Bash!

Among the many fine bikes parked near ours, there was this one very interesting one that was for sale. It was all I could do to keep Doug from buying it and driving it home.

I'm not sure whether this is a motorcyle lawn mower or a lawn mower motorcycle.  And does it really matter?  What creativity, what design genius, what fun!  And I just happened to have my camera handy because you never know what you're going to see at a motorcycle rally.  The owner wasn't nearby, so I don't know what he looked like, but the mystery has been nagging at me ever since.  Did he have on a Harley t-shirt with the name of his lawn mowing service on the back, or was it a blue work shirt with his name sewn on the front and a Harley "Live Free" emblem on the back?  I'll never know.

And just so you know that we saw some lovely scenery along the way, here is a photo I shot at a beautiful little roadside park, and the next one is of the place where we had lunch--right after we got drenched in a quick little downpour that lasted 5 minutes.

This place was advertised as "overlooking the Arkansas Grand Canyon" and it was beautiful, even with the thunderstorm rolling in across the Ozarks.  Had some delicious BBQ beef brisket and Arkansas Company's Comin Pie for dessert (meringue crust with pecans, whipped cream and pineapple filling--luscious!).

Craig, keep hanging in there, and try to eat something even if you're not hungry.  Can you drink milkshakes?  Those are good and fattening all at the same time.   Or how about a brandy Alexander--that would be even better!!  Especially right before Shelly cleans your wound    We miss your smiling face.

Shelly, you are an amazing woman--I can't imagine what that big hole looks like and I don't really want to see it.  Craig is blessed to have you.

I know it must be good to be home.

love, deb
