Glob On

I've never been to a party where I knew very few, and yet so many.  The feeling of seeing a name tag, and then a face, and then getting/giving a big hug is just beyond words (even for me).  And that happened over and over again.  And I still didn't get to meet everyone.    Yet, the people who knew each other only through the blog felt like old friends as soon as name tags were read and hugs were given.  Priceless.

Craig and Shelly, I know the party had to mean so much to you, but I still don't know if you realize how much this blog and the party mean to the rest of us.  We still check it every day, we still look forward to the humor and the trivia, and the thoughts and prayers.  Because even though it's all meant for you, the rest of us get so much from it as well.  I now can understand how people can get married after meeting over the internet--you love people before you even meet them!

Glob on, folks.

love, deb

PS.  I can't let this pass since I do bleed red.  I'm so sorry the Tigers had to lose, because I really like Jim Leyland and your team is a classy one.  However, the Cards winning the World Series was just AWESOME!  We luckily got tickets for the rally yesterday and had a wonderful time in beautiful downtown St. Louis.  I don't believe the report I just read that said St. Louis is the most dangerous city in America (bah humbug).  Believe it or not, Detroit was second in that report!!!!  The synergy continues even in bad news
