I'm assuming all of your great nurses have told you this, but just in case.  If you can, hold a pillow over your abdomen when they make you cough or when you have to laugh.  I found out that helps a lot when you've had surgery in your abdominal area.  I never knew that my lungs were connected to my uterus until they made me cough after my hysterectomy
